Boosterthon Fun

My school had their first fundraiser.... It wasn't selling wrapping paper... It wasn't selling cookie dough.... It wasn't selling oranges.... It was a fun run.... I had to get pledges for running laps.. They wanted us to run 25-35 laps....

With the help of Daddy sneaking me gatorade as I came around each lap, guess how many laps I finished??

Here I am a the end, with 37 laps finished!!! I'm a running rock star!!!!

Speed Racer

If you know my mommy, you know she has a bit of a lead foot. She has slowed down since becoming a mom, but one weekend in November she got the chance to go to Blacksburg by herself for a football game ( if you know her, you know she hasn't gotten a treat like that in a long time and how happy she had to have been to get back to her alma mater).

Long story short, she didn't get out of town before she got a speeding ticket. She says she just wasn't paying attention because she was dancing to the music.... Ummm, people her age shouldn't be dancing, but that's another post. Anyway, she was sent to driving class. Here is how our conversation went when she told me

Mommy - I have to go to driving school.
Me - are they going to make you drive around with one of those signs on the top of your car?

That's a legitimate question, right?  I'm thinking she might slow down if she had one of those, just saying......

Dishes for Christmas

While laying on the couch watching Sophia on Mom's iPad while she makes dinner, we had this conversation.

Mommy: Annabelle, know what?
Annabelle: What?
Mommy: I love you to the North Pole and back.
Annabelle: I love you to Santa's workshop and back.
Mommy: Have I been good this year? Do you think Santa is working on anything for me in his workshop?
Annabelle: Ya, maybe he'll wash your dishes or something....

Kicking Off the Holidays

It's Tea Time!!! Mommy and I went to our second annual Christmas tea.

My dessert plate started like this and ended like like this (I brought my half-eaten cookies to my lil brother).

Also going on - Christopher Pop-in-Kins has arrived. He's quite mischievous. He strung a trapeze across the living room the other night and was swinging from the fan.

Then my brother caught him taking a bath in Mommy's big tub. A marshmallow bath.....

St. Nick also stopped by for a visit. We left out our shoes with our letter for Santa. He picked up our letter to take back to the North Pole and left us a few treats to enjoy!

Finally, I entered my first art contest. It's the Charlotte Observer Holiday Card Contest. You get to create your own holiday card and if you win, you win something - not sure what though. I drew three designs, but could only submit one. Cross your fingers I'm a winner!

I Rocked the Vote Today

It was election day at school and I got to cast my vote. Here's my ballot.

I like chili, so of course I voted for Barack Obama because he likes chili (see #2). I don't like dogs and I don't like basketball. I only voted for him because he likes chili and he wants to keep Sesame Street on tv and I want Eli to have Sesame Street.
